GM & EVgo have installed over 2,000 fast charging kiosks across the US


General Motors (GM) and EVgo have installed more than 2,000 fast-charging kiosks across the United States since their partnership began.

According to a press release shared with TeslaratiEVgo and General Motors have set up fast-charging kiosks at more than 390 locations in 32 states. General Motors and EVgo were deployment of public fast chargers in locations near grocery stores, shopping centers, and city centers.

“Our collaboration with EVgo underscores our commitment to providing electric vehicle drivers with the best experience by expanding fast charging infrastructure across the country,” said Wade Schaefer, vice president of GM Energy. “We look forward to continuing to offer a premium charging experience for years to come.”

The partners recently surpassed 2,000 public fast charging facilities, doubling their total EV charging space in just over a year. EVgo and GM opened their 1,000th fast-charging kiosk in August 2023 in Woodbridge, Illinois.

GM and EVgo aim to install 2,850 DC fast charging kiosks across the country. Once its fast charging network completed across the United States, it will include 400 public fast-charging kiosks in major metropolitan areas, including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, New York, Michigan and Texas.

“Working with proven automakers like GM has accelerated our nationwide network, building the trust of today’s EV drivers and the drivers we’ll be welcoming to the EVgo network in the coming years,” said EVgo President Dennis Kish.
