My First Gran Turismo is a free demo that probably isn’t for you

If you are reading this on this website, there is a good chance that you are familiar with Big tourism. Whether you’ve taken virtual laps around Trial Mountain or not, the franchise has been a staple of automotive culture for decades. However, developer Polyphony Digital is still making efforts for new players, especially younger ones. My first Gran Turismofree demo version GT7 which hits the PlayStation Store this Friday, looks like it was built for just that purpose.

Then as full Gran Turisma 7 has 522 cars (and growing), My first GT has 18. It also only has three fictional tracks: Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi, Deep Forest and Trial Mountain. In it you can earn three licenses; compete in three races (one for each track); run time trials with local leaderboards; and playing “Music Rally”, a strange, almost forgotten mode that polyphony insisted on GT7 launch

If you are a parent of a young child, I imagine this could really be a great little game. But for the rest of us, there’s not much here. This is normal; in retrospect, all of us fans could got a little carried away with earlier conversations “beloved cars, tracks and races that evoke the nostalgia and excitement of the very first GT experience.” The user interface doesn’t really resemble the previous games, save for the random pop-up of gold in the menu, and the car list isn’t even that memorable. Here it is below, please GTPlanet:

  • Audi TT Coupe 3.2 V6 ’03
  • BMW M3 Sport Evolution ’89
  • Citroen DS21 Pallas 70
  • Daihatsu Copen ’02
  • Dodge Challenger R/T ’70
  • Ferrari 308 GTB ’76
  • Honda NSX Type R ’92
  • Lamborghini Countach LP400 ’74
  • Mazda Roadster (North Dakota) S ’15
  • Mazda RX-7 FD Spirit R ’02
  • MINI Cooper S ’05
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V GSR ’98
  • Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R ’89
  • Porsche 911 930 Turbo ’81
  • Suzuki Jimny XC ’18
  • Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 ’83
  • Volkswagen Golf VII GTI ’14
  • Volvo 240 SE Wagon ’93

now there is supposed to be a prize when you put them all together, and perhaps that’s where Castrol TOM’s Supra many of us first encountered in the first Big tourism is hiding Then again, I let nostalgia get to me when this demo was first teased, and I’m not ready to do it again. It at least supports PlayStation VR 2 and maybe PS5 Pro improvements also, so if you have any of these pieces of equipment, but don’t GT7you can at least enjoy the beauty of the game. And if you or your kids like it enough, GT7 it just happens on sale for $30 right now.
