In an interview with Sky News Arabia, Al-Ahmad said: “There is great concern about the future in Syrian society.

Al-Ahmad pointed out that the Syrian army is still a strong army with experience in the conflict, but it is careful not to engage in battles in the cities, and “this is a good thing, because a political solution is the best solution for me.” opinion.”

Al-Ahmad stressed: “A political solution is the best.” I hope the future will avoid religious fanaticism. The most important thing is to preserve the unity of the country and let there be a political solution that protects the rights of all”.

Al-Ahmad stressed that any violence or chaos must be avoided, because “no one wants to repeat the scenario of 2011.”

Sources revealed to Sky News Arabia on Saturday a circulated road map for resolving the Syrian crisis, which was circulated at a meeting in Doha attended by the countries sponsoring the Astana agreement, namely Turkey, Russia and Iran, with the aim of discussing the development of the situation in Syria.

The road map includes several points, the most prominent of which is the beginning of the implementation of the UN resolution 2254which calls for a ceasefire and a political solution in Syria.

Under the map, all forces will withdraw to their bases, joint police units will protect cities, and all foreign forces will withdraw from the country by the end of 2025.
