Tesla certainly seems to be going all-in on its efforts to promote full autonomous driving (FSD) and its capabilities. This effort is particularly evident on Tesla’s order page for its vehicles, as it now has a dedicated section showing videos of FSD in action.
Previous iterations of Tesla’s order pages have included a list of FSD features and a graphical representation of the system’s capabilities in action. Tesla updated order page shows 13 real FSD videos that clearly show how the system can move from one place to another.
While the update to Tesla’s order page is minor, adding real-life FSD videos could help more customers understand what the advanced driver assistance system has to offer. Tesla also apparently clarifies on its order page that the FSD is not yet fully autonomous in its current iteration. Tesla does state that with the system enabled, the vehicle can “drive itself almost anywhere minimal driver intervention.”
Recently, Tesla has been using real-life videos to promote FSD. Most recently, the company released a whopping 16 videos on social media platform X to demonstrate how well FSD (supervised) V12.5.6.3 handles dangerous edge cases. According to Tesla Vice President of AI Software Ashok Eluswamythe videos were motivated by real events from the company’s customer base.
Tesla recently released FSD (controlled) V13.2 to its original group of non-employee users. And while demonstrations of FSD (Supervised) V13.2 in action have yet to be posted online, the update’s release notes indicate that the improvements in the latest build are substantial. This was emphasized by comments from members of Tesla’s AI teamone of which noted that the FSD V13 is comparable to SpaceX’s Raptor V3 engine in that it is very clean.
