The Minister of Finance, opening the conference, emphasized the importance of this event in promoting joint international action to face tax and customs challenges and support global economic growth, pointing to the achievements achieved by the Administration, the most significant of which is the achievement of 99.35% in United Nations Digital Government Index, as a result of development Digital services And implement more than 350 requests according to the indicator.

During his speech, he also explained that the importance of the conference is in promoting regional and international economic integration and in highlighting efforts to improve internal trade, use technology and improve aspects of international cooperation by concluding bilateral and international partnerships with many countries. to exchange experiences. in zakat, tax and customs affairs.

For his part, the Governor of the Authority, Engineer Suhail bin Muhammad Abanmi, emphasized that the conference formed an ideal platform for uniting local and international efforts towards building advanced zakat, tax and customs systems of social solidarity, noting that the focus of the conference was on Tax policies and tariffs as key factors for strengthening security and economic growth.

The conference included a group of dialogue sessions in which a group of international experts and leaders participated, the latest innovations and solutions in the field of zakat, taxes and customs were reviewed, as well as a discussion on the integration of national and international policies.

90 domestic, regional and international entities participated in the accompanying exhibition, and 72 workshops were organized during the two days of the conference on various topics, including digital transformation, improvement of economic security, sustainable growth strategies and many topics related to government services. and initiatives in all areas of zakat, taxes and customs.

The conference was attended by a wide range of officials, experts and stakeholders from various parts of the world, where ideas and visions were exchanged on the future of zakat, tax and customs policy, in addition to highlighting digital transformations and pioneering initiatives led by the Kingdom to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 .
