The opposition Syrian National Coalition announced a transitional political plan



The coalition explained in a statement on the X platform: “AFor the National Coalition However, he is working to form a transitional governing body with full executive powers, with the participation of all national forces without exclusion, in order to achieve a free, democratic, pluralistic Syria.

And he said Hadi Al-Bahra The leader of Syria’s opposition abroad told Reuters on the sidelines of the Doha Forum on Sunday that Syria must witness an 18-month transition period to ensure a “safe, neutral and peaceful environment” to hold free elections.

Al-Bahra, head of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, said that the draft constitution must be drafted within six months and that this will be the first election in which a referendum will be held on it.

Al-Bahra added: “The constitution will determine whether Syria will follow a parliamentary, presidential or mixed system, and based on that, elections will be held and the people will choose their leader.”

He said that the opposition asked civil servants to continue working until the transfer of power and assured them that they would not be exposed to any harm.

In a statement, the coalition expressed its “aspiration to build strategic partnerships with countries in the region and the world with the goal of rebuilding Syria, for all its people, regardless of their ethnicity, religion and sect.”
