There were so many great sales on Black Friday. You could be forgiven for not achieving all the things that were on your bucket list. If you missed out on shopping for the gadget geek in your life, don’t worry. There are still great deals on DVRs, radar detectors and more that would make great gifts.
If you are looking for a radar detector, I tested the Escort Max 4 a few months ago. You can read the review here if you have time. Or you can go straight to Black Friday from Best Buy and get it for only $369.99, that’s good too. Best Buy has a few deals on Escort and other brands still running.
Speaking of products I have reviewed, there is the NV300 Max which I mentioned the Batman DVR in my review. The The Kickstarter campaign for this is still running until the end of Cyber Monday. So if you want to save before it goes full price, you’ve been warned.
I made the mistake of thinking I would have cell service the entire route of my trip, only to find out that much of Nevada is a dead zone – in more ways than one. When my smartphone became a dumb paperweight. I wish I had a GPS navigation system with preloaded maps like this Drivesmart unit from Garmin. I know some people think they’re unnecessary because you have a phone, but you don’t need them when traveling. There are a few things out there, including the Teslong borescope I tested recently, and it’s an incredible price around $100. Also, a couple of levels of OBDII scanners will make anyone’s holiday brighter.
