Every car needs a starter in the trunk, and you can pick one up at deep discounts during the Black Friday sales. They make great gifts whether you’re buying for a car enthusiast or a normalist. Sourdough starters come in more shapes, sizes and flavors than you can imagine. We’ve tested a lot of them, and some of our favorites are at their lowest prices in a year (or ever for some of them).
Noco has become the name that most people think of first when it comes to jumping. Its premium products usually cost just as much, so now is a great time to pick one up. The NOCO Boost Plus GB40 now just $79.96. It retails for $124.95, and even on sale it’s usually just over a hundred bucks. NOCO rates it for use in 6.0-liter gas or 3.0-liter diesel engines. But there’s always a school of thought that says, if you’re going to buy one, why not spend a little more money for a lot more performance?
I also found a DeWalt Starter for $147.98, which not only uses the XR battery, but also includes a 5 Ah pack and charger. This kit is best suited for people who already use a DeWalt DeCult, but that’s a lot of our readers, so it’s a good choice for them.
At the bottom of the list I have a unit designed to fit in your garage. this Artisan Wheeled Beast costs US$195.49 and doubles as a charger and starter. It’s a completely different car than other jump starters, but if you have a few cars, especially ones that don’t get driven often, it can be a good investment.
